TCGs & Loop

First we'll start out with what a TCG is. TCG stands for Trading Card Game. A TCG is a game where you collect cards from different sets, and trade them for other cards. A better way for me to describe this is Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and baseball cards. You would collect cards from different sets (such as EX Unseen Forces, Magic Ruler or the Yankees). If you had a double, or didn't really want a particular card, you would trade it away for something you did want. Basically, this is the same exact thing, except it's online, and you don't need to pay real money for these cards! Instead, in an online TCG, you play games to earn cards, trade them with other members, and can exchange coupons for cards.

Now, a bit about Loop. Loop is a TCG focusing on the beautiful openings and endings of anime series. The name came up in a discussion about this TCG over at the Moonlight Legend forums. Crazi came up with the name, mentioning how openings and endings form a loop. Plus, it's just a really cool name! It stuck, and here we are today.

Cards

The most important part of a trading card game are of course, the cards! There are three different types of decks here at Loop: openings, endings, and special puzzles. There are also two different types of deck worths: cards in the opening and ending decks are worth one, and cards in the special puzzle decks are worth two. This is important, as it helps determine levels, card rarity, and trade value. On this note, when trading cards, you must have a trade of equal worth (for example, you can trade two regular cards for one special card). Below are some examples of the different cards (please do not take them!):

You can earn cards from many different things, such as games, contests, leveling up, and the occasional update freebie. When you join the TCG, you will receive three cards from your collecting deck, five random regular cards, and one random special card to get you started.

Levels

Following up cards are levels! Like mentioned before, levels are determined by your card worth. Since I'm uncreative, levels here will go by numbers. Check the chart below to see the requirements to reach each level:

Level Card Worth Requirements
One 0-150 ---
Two 151-300 1 trade log
Three 301-600 3 trade logs
Four 601-900 5 trade logs
Five 901-1100 10 tracks AND 10 decks mastered
Six 1101-1500 15 tracks AND 15 decks mastered
Seven 1501-2000 20 tracks AND 20 decks mastered
Eight 2001-2500 30 tracks AND 25 decks mastered
Nine 2501-3000 40 tracks AND 30 decks mastered
Ten 3001+ 50 tracks AND 50 decks mastered
decks mastered MUST be regular or special decks; mini masteries and member card masteries DO NOT COUNT!

Tracks

Once you reach level four, you will be able to start collecting tracks. Since our cards cover the visual parts of openings and endings, tracks represent the audio. Sometimes our favorite openings and endings are based on the music. Tracks are needed in order to advance to higher levels. The following are ways to earn tracks:

Turning in 5 stamp cards Mastering a special deck
Completeing your trader puzzle Referring a new member
Master an opening, ending and special deck featuring the same series Placing 1st in a contest with more than 5 participants

Tracks look like this: Alternatively, you can exchange five regular coupons AND five special coupons for a track. However, you may only do this twice, ever!

Trader Puzzles

Trader puzzles are a way to reward active traders. For every three stamp cards you turn in, you get one piece of your trader puzzle! This special deck is an image picked by you, and is worth two, just like the other puzzle decks here. However, these cards are NOT tradeable, and are not in the randomizer. Also, you are unable to request cards from your deck by using coupons. This deck is masterable, and earns you the same rewards as mastering any other special deck.

Coupons

An easy way to earn cards is through coupons. Coupons are given out as rewards in games and contests. There are two different types of coupons: choice regular, and choice special. Below are the different coupons that you will find throughout the TCG (please do not take them!):

Rewards

Whenever you level up or master a deck, you will earn a reward! The two tables below tell you what rewards you get for leveling up and mastering:

Every 600 worth after Ten 3 choice regulars, 2 random regulars, 1 choice special
